Getting a Mini

 

The Nagahara Mini is a revolutionary new design of the Piccolo, but unlike the Piccolo, the Mini's range is extended down to the low B (sounding the B on the staff) and features a cylindrical bore shape. This instrument is full of color possibilities, a broader range of dynamics with great projection and an ergonomic key design making it a comfortable fit under the performer's hands.

 

The Mini is the perfect Solo instrument, yet its blending capabilities among other woodwinds are outstanding. Currently the Mini's are being made in African Blackwood, Pink Ivory wood, Olive Wood and Mopane wood. There is much to explore with the Nagahara Mini, the possibilities are endless, so we invite everyone to try the Mini and experience the difference!

 

How does the trial work?

To request a trial, please complete the Trial Request form T1 here (form only necessary for trial shipments).

Nagahara Flutes offers a 7-day trial program for USA customers to try Mini's and/or headjoint(s) in their own performance environment. Trials usually begin on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.  Over-the-weekend shipping is always avoided for security reasons and the well being of the instruments. 

​

Our goal is to give every person the opportunity to try the different options within the Nagahara Minis available at any given point. Thus, we aim to provide a selection of  2-4 Minis and extra headjoints on trial for a period of 7 days. Upon the end of this trial period, the customer is able to choose a Mini for purchase.

​

Should you decide to buy a Mini, the total trial fee paid would be credited towards the final payment of the Mini of your choice. Upon choosing a Mini, the remaining balance for the total cost of the instrument would be due immediately by check or credit card.
