Every instrument is hand made one at a time in our shop located in Chelmsford, MA, USA, a suburb of Boston. 

 

Purchasing a Nagahara instrument directly through the Nagahara Flutes shop is always a possibility with shipping available to any address serviced by UPS or similar shipping companies.

Direct Customer Flute Order & Purchase Policy:

1. A 50% deposit, payable by check, wire transfer, or money order made out to “NNI INC." is required to begin construction of an instrument. Direct to customer sales shall enjoy a 3% discount off of the total sales price, in the accepted payment formats above. Credit cards are typically not accepted for flute orders, exceptions apply, and will not enjoy the above 3% discount. The 3% non-credit card discount can apply to split payments.

​2. Deposits are non-refundable once the instrument starts production.

3. Outstanding balance is due upon completion of the instrument, prior to shipping or pick-up of the instrument, payable by check, wire transfer, or money order payable to "NNI INC."

4. The State of Massachusetts 6.25% sales tax applies to any items picked-up or delivered within the state of Massachusetts.

5. Nagahara Flutes provides one (1) free COA (Clean, Oil, and Adjustment) maintenance service to all direct to customer flute sales within the contiguous USA, during the first 18 months of ownership, with free return shipping. This free maintenance service only applies to instruments purchased directly from NNI INC./Nagahara Flutes, no exceptions.

Customers who live in areas where an established authorized dealer is located are advised to contact their local dealer first to check on their Nagahara stock availability. Buying through a dealer is especially recommended for international customers for better future assistance in maintenance and repair services.

 

Although Nagahara Flutes is a production shop dealing with current customer orders, there is a constant, limited, stock of headjoints always available for immediate purchase, offering a variety of material combinations and cuts. Please contact us via email to inquire about our current headjoint selection; please include specifications of your current instrument(s) and the type of model: i.e. "Standard". For fitting Nagahara headjoints to other maker's flutes, it is very important that we know the internal bore size dimension of the flute barrel to which the Nagahara headjoint is to be fitted.

 

A limited selection of finished flutes are often available for immediate purchase at the Nagahara shop. However, more often than not, it is likely that a custom order may required to attain a new flute with the exact desired specifications.
