"Aslihan And was born in Istanbul, Turkey on 1987. She studied flute with Vieri Bottazzini at MSFAU State Conservatory in her home city. Aslihan has many masterclasses including those of Sir James Galway, Raffaele Trevisani, Davide Formisano, Andrea Oliva, Bulent Evcil and has also had the opportunity to study for short period with many other important flutists. She recorded ‘Four Seasons’ and the other two flute concertos of Antonio Vivaldi along with soloist Vieri Bottazzini as part of the “All Flutes Chamber Orchestra.” Miss And has also performed at The National Flute Association (NFA), The British Flute Society (BFS) and The Falaut Festival with "All Flutes Chamber Orchestra" from Turkey. Aslihan has also performed in her
country as a soloist, chamber and orchestral player with many orchestras. She won first and third prizes in flute competitions in Turkey.
Most recently, Miss And was awarded a Nagahara 16K gold headjoint for wining Best Performer at the 22nd Sir James Galway International Flute Convention & Masterclass, 2011 (Weggis, Switzerland). She is going to continue her studies with Juergen Franz in the Hamburg Conservatory, Germany."
